AUGUST 27 -
SEPTEMBER 3 2007 - PUERTO VALLARTA, MEXICO |
|
| |
|
|
| |
During August 29th to
September 4th 2006, I had the fantastic adventure in being part of the UJENA
BIKINI JAM competition. There were 129 bikini models from all over the world
and 65 photographers representing 10 countries. Being my first competition I
didn't make it to the top 10 photographers but I know why: I did some
mistakes...which won't be happening next year. |

   |
This was the best learning
experience for all. Where and when would I have the opportunity to work with
so many models in a week at such a wonderful location (Puerto Vallarta,
Mexico). The weather was hot and humid and I put my equipment under
conditions that I never thought could happen. How could I know that
Hurricane John would be coming our way! So, it rained a lot and there was no
way I could dry my clothes! |

DO YOU
WANT TO COME TO UJENA BIKINI JAM 22 ? |
|
| |
|
|
| |
UJENA will be having their
22nd Bikini Jam next August 27th to September 3rd 2007 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
and I'm going back. Believe me when I tell you that this is one of the
greatest experience that any model can be part of. |
|
| |
| 1:
You can pick from over 60 professional photographers from all around the
world to improve and add to your portfolio |
| 2:
You will meet top professional models that you will surely become
friends with and learn much from |
| 3:
You have the opportunity to be one of the many winners in various
categories |
| 4:
Practically guaranteed to be published in the UJENA bikini catalogue. |
| 5:
To shoot in your UJENA bikini in one of the most exotic places in the
world: Puerto Vallarta, Mexico |
| 6: Since this shoot is
for catalogue, height does not matter. All you need is to be toned. |
| 7: Get involved in the
UJENA family and really get your bikini modeling career get started. |
| 8: The BIKINI JAM is
usually done during Labor Day weekend, so you might only miss one or two
day of work or school |
|

|
|
| |
WHAT NOW? |
|
| |
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
|
|
|
|
| |
Step 1: Do you have any
good pictures of you in a bikini? "Good" is the key word here. If the
pictures were taken with a cell phone or a low quality camera, this will
not help you. If you are serious about this, I strongly suggest that you
have good pictures taken of you. Look around to find a good photographer
and have a session done with him/her. |
|
| |
Step 2: Go at
Ujena Talent
and submit some of your pictures. This is entirely free. But do it only
if you are serious. This is not a website to show to your friends like
MySpace. |
|
| |
Step 3: The competition
is not free but the price is not exorbitant. Last year it cost only
$895.00 US for five days with everything included: food, double room,
drinks, party's (there are many). |
|
| |
Step 4: Work out! You
need a beautiful body to be a bikini model. No one is perfect. This is
true. Stretch marks, cellulite and pimples are all little imperfections
that can be worked with good make up. However your shape is something
that will sell the bikini. |
|
| |
Step 5: Even color skin.
If you're planning to wear a thong, make sure that your booty is the
same color as your legs. You don't have to be tanned to be a bikini
model. But you do need to have the skin of your body to be all of the
same tone. |
|
| |
Step 6: So, you've done
the five steps and you've paid your fees to enter the competition. Get
ready to work hard. I've shot 12 models a day and many models have shot
10 to 15 times a day with as many photographers. Even though there are
parties, be reasonable. Don't drink too much and don't go to bed too
late. |
|
| |
Step 7: This is no cheesy
competition. UJENA has class. In some of their events you will need to
bring one or two formal gowns. (Men have to bring suits with shirts and
ties.) There is also a fantastic costume party that happens and prizes
are given for the best costumes. |
|
| |
Step 8: UJENA promotes
also health and there will be a 5 km run. Bring your running shoes and
be ready to run. You don't have to race but it is important that you do
it because it also gives you some points. (When I crossed the finish
line, I thought that it would be fun doing the cha-cha with
Michelle! |
